First Grade
Instructor: Mrs. Schuff
Students in first grade will learn how to read to the best of their ability. Students will use their ideas and background knowledge to write complete sentences. We will help them develop these sentences into stories. They will learn many new math concepts throughout the year. These include addition, subtraction, recording data, measurement, algebraic and geometric concepts. Students will also study various topics in Science and Social Studies. Students will not be graded in Science or Social Studies. The purpose of study is for students to develop background knowledge in these academic areas.
